Vibration Machine

How it Works:

As the plate vibrates (oscilates) under the users feet, muscles are forced to relax and contract subconciously in order to maintain balance and stability. The users own body weight acts as the resitance, causing the body to burn calories quickly and efficiently.

  1. Tightening and toning (slimming and thinning).

    1. As your muscles relax and contract, they burn calories. Due to the rapid relaxation and contraction of your muscles while on the Power Step (to compensate for the vibrating plate), a user may burn as many calories in just ten to fifteen minutes on the Power Step as he or she would in a 45 minute walk
    2. As the body puts on more lean muscle mass over time, it burns more calories throughout the day and speeds up your metabolism permanently.

  2. Reduction of Cellulite.

    1. This is achieved through the tightening and toning effect from consistent and long-term usage of the Power Step.
    2. Also since the Power Step has the ability to enhance your circulation, this will blast away fatty cells between tissues.

  3. Increases Bone Mineral Mass and Bone Density.

    1. The vibrations cause compression and remodeling of the bone tissue, activating the osteoblasts (bone building cells), while reducing the activity of the osteoclasts (cells that break bone down). Repeated stimulation of this system, combined with the increased pull on the bones by the muscles, will increase bone mineral density over time. The improved circulation and increased supply of nutrients, are also contributing factors toward increased bone formation (Verschueren 2004 , Jordan 2005 , Olof Johnell & John Eisman, 2004).
    2. Higher bone density is important for anyone from patients recovering from bed-rest, the elderly (especially when institutionalized), any woman over age 65 or man over 70, to professional athletes, especially those in contact or extreme sports.
    3. Basically, if you are between bed rest and professional athlete, Power Step is for you.

  4. Reduction of training time

    1. As Sir Isaac Newton taught us, F=M*A, or Force equals mass times acceleration. In terms of exercise, Effort = Weight * Motion. Example: The two main ways to improve your workout is to add more weight (resistance) or more motion (repetition). . As the plate shifts you out of balance, your body involuntary relaxes and contracts its muscles up to 50 times per second throughout your core, sides, thighs, and legs. By using the arms straps, we can target over 90% of the muscles in your bodyJust 10 minutes on the Power Step will firm and tone as much as a 45 minute walk!!
    2. Once you add any extra resistance (weight) to your workout on the Power Step, you are now doing strength trainging and muscle building, while still tightening and tonig. At the gym its one or the other.

  5. Requires very little effort

    1. It is always easy to go for more repetition than more weight. On the Power Step, the body weight is kept constant, and instead we focus on the motion side of the equation. Your muscle movement is maximized while simultaneously minimizing the strain on your body.
    2. You can easily achieve accelerated results with minimal additional resistance or weight. For example, by adding 10 lb free-weights in each hand you are now forcing your body to balance and stabilize 20 extra pounds of resistance against the rapid muscle contractions generated by the Power Step. Five minutes of arm curls with free weights, followed by five minutes of squats with free weights has the same cardiovascular benefits of jogging for half an hour.

  6. Improves metabolism

    1. Exercising regularly will always create this effect. The difference with Power Step is you will actually do it every day. Ten minutes a day that will make you feel better afterward; refreshed, invigorated, lighter on your feet.
    2. Imagine you loose 2 inches in just a month from only standing on the machine for ten minutes a day in from of a TV. Now you will be curious how much you can achieve by combining cardio or strength training. As you gain more lean muscle mass and produce more HGH, you will increase your metabolic rate permanently.

  7. Increased muscle strength

    1. Due to this subconscious contraction of the muscles, many more muscle fibers are used than in a conscious, voluntary movement (Issurin & Tenenbaum 1999 ). The immediate effect is therefore that the muscles can be used quickly and efficiently, rendering them capable of producing more force.
    2. Also, as your muscles relax and contract they stretch and become more flexible. And since Power Step works with your fast muscle twitch, you will see more explosive strength.

  8. Lowers some stress hormones (including coritsol) while also increasing your seratonin output. This happens with any exercise, the difference again is that Power Step users report a much higher percentage of consistent use than any other fitness regimen.

    1. Improves circulation

      1. The rapid contraction and relaxation of the muscles up to 50 times per second basically works as a pump on the blood vessels and lymphatic vessels, increasing the speed of the blood flow through the body (Kerschan-Schindl et al 2001). Subjects often experience this as a tingling, prickling, warm sensation in the skin.
      2. Both Stewart (2005) and Oliveri (1989) describe the appearance of vasodilatation (widening of the blood vessels) as a result of vibration, meaning better flow with less restriction, which may even lower blood pressure. You'll even feel lighter on your feet afterward

    2. Fewer varicose veins

      1. These develop when some of the veins in your body are under abnormal pressure, and forcefully expand to accommodate more blood flow.
      2. As you continue to use the Power Step you will increase your whole body's circulation, thus alleviating any area under strain. Plus, as you become more fit, you will lower your resting heart rate, further reducing the strain on your body's blood vessels.

    3. Increased sense of balance.

      1. Anything you practice, you get better at. As the plate shifts under your feet, your body constantly adjusts to maintain stability.
      2. Improvements in balance have been noted anywhere from Pro Golfers, Baseball Players, and Tennis Players to patients with MS or recovering from a stroke. Basically, if you are between bed rest and professional athlete, Power Step is for you.
